I would recommend some essays from Home Economics by Wendell Berry. And, in fact, I'd recommend that book to you in general.
I just taught a Bible study lesson on community. My texts were Acts 2:42-47, Galatians 3:28, and 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. They're pretty awesome passages. Let me know what ya think.
