Must-Sees-ies Please

In a smidge over a month, I'll take off from American soil to land in Londontown. I'll see the sights of "L-City" with some of the best tour guides around. That said, I'm looking for a few supplementary tips for travel. Besides the obvious spots, what are some of your favorites?

And what about for here?

"I'll be repping L-City" and illuminating in the City of Lights. Please direct all suggestions to corybo@gmail.com. Thank you and merci!

You must go to Ye Olde Mitre and drink a pint of "real ale." It doesn't matter that you don't like beer, because you just have to experience a good British pub.

Tate Modern is pretty cool (but stay away from the Viennese Actionism!). And you should definately go to some of the big clothing markets - there are several - and they just have a bunch of people and activity and great style. You'd love it.

I wish I'd spend more time outside central London. I'm learning more and more that the parts of cities I love to see as a tourist are the everyday areas. Maybe look east?

Of course, if I were going now, I'd probably just follow Bill Hillier around and ask him questions, but that probably isn't your cup of tea.
